The Best Cyber Monday Deals On Nintendo Switch And 3DS

Black Friday has come and gone, but there’s still Cyber Monday, always a curious designation in an era when more and more Black Friday shopping is moving online to begin with. If you’re looking for a new Nintendo Switch or 3DS this Black Friday, there’s good news and bad news. You’re not going to be finding any deals on the Nintendo Switch itself, because Nintendo is handily selling enough of them as it is. But there does seem to be stock at a number of retailers, so at least you’ll have a shot at getting the frequently-sold out console at MSRP. The UK did appear to get a short-lived deal on Amazon, however. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t any opportunities to save on Nintendo products or Switch-related products this Cyber Monday.

If you have a Nintendo Switch or are planning to get one, it’s a great time to pick up some rarely-discounted accessories. Target is running an extra 15% off sitewide with exclusions, and that includes items like extra Joy-Cons,  Joy-Con Grips, extra docks, Pro Controllers and more. Extra storage can also be important to pick up if you’re planning on downloading games, and Target has a bunch of Sandisk Micro SD cards on sale for a discount. The Nintendo Switch is a great little machine, but it gets much better once you add some accessories into the mix. Read into that what you will.

If you want accessories, you’ll also want to visit, which sells things like a travel dock, a screen protector and a battery pack. Nyko is offering 20% off sitewide.

Best Buy has a few software deals: we’ve got FIFA 18 and Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 for $39.99 and RBI Baseball on sale for $19.99. There are also some scattered deals on accessories, but Target or Nyko are both better bets here.

GameStop has Puyo Puyo Tetris and Super Bomberman R for $29.99, as well as slightly cheaper prices on pre-owned games. You’ll see a discount on a game called Troll and I in here, but don’t be fooled: this is weird, glitchy shovelware.

Walmart also has some truly byzantine bundles that are listed at a discount, but these are some niche items for the person who was planning on buying a large and specific collection of items anyways.

For the 3DS, Target is once again a good bet. The 15% off does not apply to all systems, but it does apply to the  Pokéball 2DS XL or the Mario Kart 7 2DS Bundle. All 3DS software appears to be included as well, so it’s a good time to stock up on titles like Pokemon Sun/Moon or Animal Crossing: New Leaf. GameStop has solid deals on refurbished hardware, including a New 3DS XL with Kirby Triple Deluxe and Donkey Kong Returns 3D for $149.99. It’s also running a buy two get one free on retro games, which includes titles like Super Smash Bros. Melee and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

And those are the highlights. Nintendo deals are always slim pickings, and this year more than others. But you’ll still have luck finding a Switch at MSRP, and if you’ve for your hands on one it’s a good day to pick up some accessories.  Also, the Nintendo Switch is a good deal at $299.99, and I’d reccomend basically anyone buy one.
